ParticipantHello,
when I create a rule to show a field (a small open answer in this case) from a checkbox list action (or Multiple Response field), the logical condition does not work.
Otherwise if I set a rule on a radio button (Multiple choice) or drop down list it works. Thanks in advance

KeymasterHi Simone,
The logic is not working as per your requirements. I need admin credentials to have a look at the logic. Please mark the message as private before sharing the credentials.

ParticipantI have attached the logic as a screenshot, but it’s only a simple example.
It’s nothing but a Multiple Response field that shows a Text field by selecting one of three checkbox option.
Sorry but i can’t give you credentials.November 7, 2019 at 5:12 pm #1067Kriti Sharma
KeymasterHi Simone,
It is perfectly fine if you are not comfortable with sharing your website credentials. In the above screenshot, I noticed that When the answer to first question becomes ‘a’, you want second question to show up. But you haven’t selected the option ‘a’ as a correct answer. I request you to please make the option ‘a’ as correct answer to that question.
Then let’s see if it works or not.Kind Regards,
KritiNovember 7, 2019 at 5:29 pm #1068Simone Maggio
ParticipantSorry but nothing. Checking option a as correct answer doesn’t work.
I also added a multiple choice question (question 3) that shows a “question 4” if the a option is selected. It has the same configuration as “question 1”
and it works.November 7, 2019 at 5:41 pm #1069Kriti Sharma

KeymasterHi Simone,
Actually, the issue is not with the logic or the question type. Infact, it is the nature of the question because of which you seeing different results. A Multiple Response question is similar to a Multiple Choice question, except that instead of being required to make one (and only one) choice, the user is allowed to make none, one, or more than one choice. Whereas a multiple choice question can take only one response as an answer.
This is the reason you are experiencing different responses with both question types. I suggest you to please use ‘multiple choice question’ for this logic to happen in a correct way.
