ParticipantI’ve been using the QSM Certificate add-on plugin for a couple years now with no issue and have over 100 surveys built using certificates. I recently migrated our WordPress instance to a new server platform and the certificate download link does not appear on the surveys now. I’ve tried deactivating and re-activating the plugin, uninstalling and re-installing the plugin but neither of those solved the problem.
The migration was done with the All-in-One WP Migration plugin for the backup and restore. I’m using WordPress 5.2.4 and PHP 7.3.11. No other plugins have been installed since the migration from the working platform.
Can you help me troubleshoot this problem?

ParticipantNarrowed it down to the background image file. Image URL is OK but with any image file specified, the download link doesn’t appear. If the image URL is removed then the download link appears. Strange.

KeymasterHello there,
I am sorry to hear you have been running into such that issue. Please check if you are running latest version of QSM. Update it if you’re running older version. And see if it help resolves the issue.

ParticipantProblem still exists, I’m unable to use a background or logo image with the certificates.
I get this log message on the QSM help screen when trying to use the image file migrated over:
FPDF error: Missing or incorrect image file.Or get this message when trying to use a new image file:
FPDF error: Can’t open image file.Permissions are fine on that folder and the rest of WordPress doesn’t have any issue using media from the same folder.
For now I’ve removed the background image from all 130+ surveys in order make the certificates work but would like to resolve this and add the background image in again.November 8, 2019 at 7:48 am #1078Kriti Sharma
KeymasterHi GC,
As you started facing the problem after server migration, so have you contacted the server’s support team about the problem you are facing? I would also like to know which server you were using before and which server you are using right now?
Kind Regards,

ParticipantSounds like your certificates went on a little vacation during the migration! Since the QSM Certificate add-on was working fine before, the issue could be related to how URLs or file paths changed on the new server. Double-check your permalink settings and ensure the certificate files were transferred properly. If all else fails, sometimes moving to a better server setup—like HostNoc’s discount dedicated servers—can solve mysteries like this. Good luck bringing those download links back from the abyss!
