    When users upload files via the ‘File Upload’ question type, Admin is provided links to download those files. However, the links generated frequently or nearly always contain spaces in them.

    In my case, 40-50 students taking an online exam (created with the QSM premium bundle) uploaded MS Word documents which typically could not be accessed by the links received by Admin because the links contained spaces in them.

    The files also do not appear in the Media tab. The only way to download these files appears to be, therefore, by browsing the /wp-content/uploads/ directory in the browser’s address bar.

    Proposed solution = QSM plugin to remove all spaces from files uploaded by users.

    What types of files are supported by the QSM plugin? I try to make questions so students send answers in the form of photos in PNG, JPG format etc. But it always fails to upload.

    Is this a bug?

    You will have to select the supported file types in the Advanced settings of the questions. See attached screenshot.

    Hi Kriti,

    Sorry that it’s taken me so long to get back to you but I had exams to mark and a whole bunch of other college work that was all urgent, being the end of the semester.

    How are we tracking with this one? I’m referring to my original post above dated May 27.

    Hi Tony,

    We have implemented the following features as per your request in the latest version release i.e. 7.1.0:

    1) A clickable download link in the Quiz Results for user to download the uploaded file.
    2) Replace empty spaces in the uploaded file slug with dashes. For example my doc file.txt with my-doc-file.txt

    Please update the plugin and let me know if you face any issue.
