Carl PaolaParticipantHi and thanks for a great product.
Here’s my current setup https://www.familycheckin.org.au/quiz-test/
On the results page at the end of the survey, I need an average of point score to show as well as average category points.
But my problem is that three of the questions in the survey should not be scored. They should not effect the average point score shown at the end for either the over all score, or the category scores.
Is there any way I can exclude questions from being used to calculate the over all average score?

Kriti SharmaKeymasterHi Carl,
Welcome to QSM Pro Support Forum. Hope you are doing well.
Sorry to say this Carla, but it is not possible with the plugin.

Carl PaolaParticipantThanks for letting me know Kriti. Can I suggest that it could be possible if we could have a shortcode to average the points from a number of categories at once. eg:
%AVERAGE_CATEGORY_POINTS_CATEGORYA_CATEGORYB_CATEGORYC_CATEGORYD%This way I could leave the questions I don’t want to be included in the average score in either no category, or a separate category alltogether eg. CATEGORY F.
Would it be possible Krii?
Thanks.
Carl.

Kriti SharmaKeymasterHi Carl,
So do you want to raise a feature request for the template variable which will allow you to get the average points from selected no. of categories. If I am right, then I will forward this on your behalf to the development team.

Carl PaolaParticipantThanks for getting back to me Kriti so soon. It would be great if you could forward it on to your development team, thanks.
I have attached screenshots of the problem and a possible solution.
The variable would be perfect if I could name several categories to show only the average score (or %) from those categories named.
EG. %AVERAGE_CATEGORY_POINTS,CATEGORYA,CATEGORYB,CATEGORYC,CATEGORYD% = ONLY DISPLAY AVERAGE SCORE FROM CATEGORYS A, B, C, D
This way, radio questions like What is your age? or What is your gender? might be excluded?

jh f sdfsParticipantTo exclude specific questions from your survey averages, you can typically navigate to your platform’s “Scoring” or “Logic” settings. Simply toggle the “Exclude from Calculations” option for those three specific questions. This ensures that while the data is collected, it doesn’t impact your final results page.
